asking about results for improperly assembled parts. I'm curious about the gears having the noise that Richmond gears are known by all accounts to have. I have read here that the first ones made for us were noisy, but that the ones available now are not. But I haven't seen any explanation why, so I'd just like to get a feel by asking folks I see posting recent installations. Every gear shop and car guy I have talked to has told me not to get Richmond gears (without knowing there is no other option readily available for us) on account of being noisy. It's not a trade-off I'm willing to make, especially at their high price.
